Description of Problem
This guide will show you how to export iCloud contacts to a file then import that file into Outlook.
1. Export iCloud Contacts
Step 1:
Browse to iCloud and ask the user to login to their iCloud account that has the contacts that need to be exported.
Step 2:
Go to the "Contacts" section in iCloud - then click on the Settings cog on the bottom left.
Step 3:
Click "Select All" then click "export contacts to VCARD" - This will save a VCF file to the laptop.
2. Importing to Outlook
Step 1:
While Outlook has the capability of importing VCF files, it can only import one contact at a time. Obviously this is a major issue if you are wanting to import hundreds of contacts!
You'll want to convert the file to CSV by using a converter tool such as this one: VCF to CSV - Convert document online (aconvert.com)
Step 2:
Once you have the CSV file you'll want to import it. While Outlook desktop app can do it I would recommend using Outlook online for this. Select the "People" tab on the left side and click "import contacts"
Step 3:
Outlook will then ask for a CSV file. Pick the one you had just converted and click "Next"
You should see all the contacts fill up the people tab. You're done!
