HandsfreeIT Quick Support Guide

You may require support from Handsfree IT and our team may not have direct access to your device. This guide will assist in preparing a connection for our team to connect in and assist.

You Will Require:

  1. An internet connection above 1 Mbps

  2. A Windows 7+ device or Max OS 10.12 (maxOS Sierra) or Linux device (Must support Oracle or OpenJDK JRE 1.6+)
  3. A modern web browser (Firefox 52+, Safari 10.1+, Chrome 57+, Edge 41.16299.579.0+)

If you're unsure on any of the above, don't worry! These are extremely loose requirements, therefore it is rare that a device is outdated or incompatible with the software we use.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

1. Downloading And Installing Temporary Support

Step 1: Go to the Support page

With your modern web browser please navigate to: https://handsfreeit.screenconnect.com/

Step 2: Enter the code Provided by the agent

In the section "Join with a code" You will need to enter the code provided by the support engineer and press "Enter" or the arrow on the right of the box

This step may not be relevant if we have sent you a link, in which case the download will start automatically and you can skip to step 3

Step 3: Open The File Downloaded

When the download starts, most browsers will show their progress in the top right of the screen, as shown below.

If you don't see the download, it may have gone straight to your downloads folder.

Finally, if a permanent support session is required, then the agent assisting you should be able to install this without any further help. If you're using a personal device, then we will always ask before installing this software permanently
