How to Set a Signature in Outlook

Description of Problem


The aim of this article is to explain how to set your own signature within Microsoft Outlook.

Please be aware that this signature will need to be selected from the Outlook dropdown menu whenever you wish to use it.

Step 1: Navigate to the desired mailbox and select "New Email" 


 


Step 2: Open Signatures

Navigate to:

        Signature > Signatures...




Step 3: Input Name of Signature

From here you can add a signature by clicking "New" and inputting the name of the signature:




Step 4: Signature Details

The "Edit Signature" box is where you can input the text that you wish to show within the signature. Make sure to select "None" to both "New messages" and "Replies/ Forwards" (selecting these will automatically add the signature to both internal and external emails potentially leading to multiple signatures). Once this is done and you are happy with the results click on "OK".



Step 5: Test Signature

You can test that the signature is showing the correct text by clicking "Signature" and selecting the new signature from the dropdown.
