This guide will take you through how to enrol into Userlock MFA. This is the software we use to protect devices on the network with MFA (Multi Factor Authentication.

- Step 1: Downloading the Authenticator App
- Step 2: Connect to the PC or Remote Desktop server that's prompting for MFA
- Step 3: Open the "Authenticator App" on your mobile phone and select the "Add" icon on the top right.
- Step 4: The Microsoft Authenticator App will now ask you to scan the QR code. Scan the QR code that's displayed by the MFA wizard and follow the wizard steps.
- Step 5: Take note of the "Recovery" code in case you ever forget your mobile phone. Then click "Continue"
Step 1: Downloading the Authenticator App
Install the Microsoft Authenticator App on your mobile phone
- On your phone, go to App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android)
- Search for Microsoft Authenticator App and Install it.
The icon should look like this:
Alternatively, scan the below QR codes to be taken directly to the app download within your respective app store.
Step 2: Connect to the PC or Remote Desktop server that's prompting for MFA
Once connected, on the "Multi-Factor Authentication" prompt select "Authenticator App"
Step 3: Open the "Authenticator App" on your mobile phone and select the "Add" icon on the top right.
Select "Other (Google, Facebook, etc.)
Step 4: The Microsoft Authenticator App will now ask you to scan the QR code. Scan the QR code that's displayed by the MFA wizard and follow the wizard steps.
On the Authenticator app on your mobile phone, it should now show your username followed by a 6 digit number underneath. Follow the rest of the steps and then click "Verify and continue"
Step 5: Take note of the "Recovery" code in case you ever forget your mobile phone. Then click "Continue"
