Windows 11 Initial PC Setup Guide

Initial PC Setup

Please follow the steps below so that we can then connect in and complete setup.

If anything is not clear, please call us as it’s best to get this setup correctly from the start.

*Join to your home Wi-Fi during the steps below.

Turn on PC

Select your country & preferred keyboard layout. (If unsure select United Kingdom) then click Yes

When prompted for a device name click Skip for now

Then select Set up for work or school and click Next

Now when prompted for a Microsoft account, click Sign-in options.

Select Domain join instead.

Now add username Setup, then Next.

Use the standard password of password (we will change later)

For security questions, please use:

1. Pet > tommy
2. Place of birth > Kettering
3. Nickname > chilli

Then for all the following questions either choose No or Decline or the Lower of the two options.

After a brief loading screen, you will end up at a Windows desktop.

Once there, open a browser and follow the link to install our remote access software. You should be given this by email.
